Book Review: Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman

Not what I was expecting to find in the romance sections. Damn was this book good. Very suspenseful, unexpected. I couldn't put it down.

Thoughts:

📞 There is no romance FYI. The book description makes it seem like her and Raymond get together and have a relationship as more then friends, but this is misleading.

📞 They are just friends, even at the end of the book. Yes Raymond is very kind to her and at first she judged him for his outward appearance, but once she gets to know how kind he truly is they develop and caring friendship, that doesn't evolve into anything more then that. Maybe it could have, but the author did not take it there.

📞 The book is about her healing and how she changes during her friendship with Raymond.

📞 Touches on how childhood trauma can affect a person well into their adult like.

📞Quite a bit of good plot twists.
