The Locked Door by Freida McFadden

Another fantastic thriller that will keep you up at night from the best selling author Freida McFadden.

I started this book at bed time… and I finished it by staying up WAY TOO LATE.

Was it worth the sleep deprivation? Absolutely!! I can not even begin to tell you how much I enjoyed this book, but I’m going to try…

This book is action packing with eerie and paranoid feelings. There are flashbacks to her childhood living with her serial killer father. Everything makes us question, how much of her is like him.

She knows that she has an urge to cause hurt just because she wants to. But she resists those tendencies everyday, and chooses to use her desires for good. She is a surgeon who is good at saving lives, because she enjoys it and isn’t squeamish about it. As a child we see her start to develop these psycopathical tendencies, and wonder if she grew out of them.

She has given up on deep meaningful relationships. She can’t trust anyone, herself included. She doesn’t even trust herself with a pet.

When copy cat killings of her father’s work pop up all around her, she isn’t sure who she can trust. All she knows is that she has spent her entire life resisting the temptation to be like her father, why would she slip up now.

This book really had me questioning whether or not our MC was who she represented herself as.

QOTD: Have you ever dressed up as a book character for Halloween, cosplay, etc?
