Book Review: The Threat Below by J.S. Latshaw

Words can barely describe how much I throughly enjoyed this book. The author reached out to me on IG and asked me to read and review. I was not disappointed.

Things I loved:

⛅️It hits the ground running.

⛅️Dystopian society

⛅️The world building is so subtle and uncomplicated that I didn’t have to stop and think about all the details.

⛅️I love the strong personalities of the MCs

⛅️Hard to pronounce names (the author knew we would struggle and offered pronunciation for one of the MCs.

🌥 I’d say the book is YA sci-fi. With the whole science going wrong part.

Thoughts:

😬Adorane was a bit of an arrogant jerk. Their relationship really doesn’t seem to work. They don’t communicate with each other well and I struggle to see why they are friends besides growing up together.

😬Icelyn is VERY prejudice, but she has been raised to be that way. She’s also very naive and arrogant too, but she is a teenager.

🙂A little slow in the middle but picks back up.

👏🏻I’m so thrilled that the author reached out to me, because I might not have read it without someone else suggesting it.
