Emotional Damage! š This book has caused me emotional trauma! I spent most of the day crying while reading!
Thoughts:
ā³As a Daddyās Girl it hit me really hard. Alice loves her dad and is having to face the fact that he may very well die any day now. She can no longer really talk to him and misses him deeply. She thinks about all the things she wanted to talk to him about, but canāt.
ā³Her life isnāt exactly what she has wanted it to be, and she realizes that she hasnāt really been living well. Sheās just going through the motions.
ā³On her 40th birthday she gets sent back in time to relive her 16th birthday. She fills that day with as much of her dadās love that she can, she changes some things.
ā³ She finds that she can relive this day whenever she wants, and spends a lot of time reliving a day that she felt her fathers love.
ā³But all good things have to end. She has to let go at some point, because time travel isnāt exactly good for your health.
I loved this book, so I feel I should explain the reasons I didnāt give it 5 stars:
š The beginning was very long winded and too much time was spent introducing EVERY character possible.
š There were many descriptions and details that were not necessary to the plot.
