Enemies to lovers romance
I loved the relationship that the two MCs. It starts out very hostile, and it’s obvious they have had some negative past encounters, but the book starts off where they really start bonding and liking each other.
I loved the characters sassy humor and how they find that they have more in common than they first thought. They both had bad first impressions of each other and it caused them to really dislike each other. Once they got to know each other, they realized that what they had could be more than they ever dreamed.
As with typical romance books, the characters each had silly reasons why they thought the relationship couldn’t work. He thinks that because she comes from money she is too good for him, she thinks that her family will not approve since he works at a rival company. Eventually they realize that they can work through these issues. For a while I thought that Beckett was going to do something stupid and make us cry, but he actually changes his mind before he does it. Which makes this rom-com a bit different then those around it.
