Dark Mafia Romance
This was such a good dark romance. It was certainly dark. Both characters come from Mafia families and had an arranged marriage during childhood. They bond and Calix does everything that he can to makes sure that Thalia is protected, even from members of her own family. When something big happens they are torn from each other, and forced to live separate lives.
Thalia is abused by her family for who she is, and has lived her life in fear. Calix becomes even more obsessed with her, and she is angry at the boy she once trusted for never coming back for her. When Calix returns and offers her his loyalty and revenge, she isn’t sure if she should trust him.
I loved that Calix and Thalia had a past and he was so in love with her. He is that burn the world for you character and I loved it. Both characters had the thirst for revenge, and I was here for it.
I wasn’t a fan of the text on the cover. It was very hard to read, but that doesn’t really affect the story. Just wanted to mention it.
