This dark humor fantasy novel is about Linus a Case Worker for the Department in Charge of Magical Youth 🧙🏻, who makes sure magical orphans are well taken care of. These children are all kinds of magical creatures gnomes, sprites, shapeshifters,

Linus lives all alone and has very little family, but is dedicated to his job. He gets an assignment to visit an orphanage on an island, which is home to some of the most unique and troublesome magical children. His assignment is to make sure that the children are in a good environment, well cared for, and not in any danger. But he does end up reminding us that just because people have the potential to be horrible they also become who they are nurtured to be.

He is astonished by how little information his supervisors gave him about the people and children on the island. He is told that he needs to have a through report every week about what goes on. He knows that he should remain objective in his observations, but quickly begins bonding and feeling protective of the children there. Also, maybe even falling for the mysterious master of the house Arthur Parnassus.

The residents of the nearest town don’t like the fact that there are magical children nearby and are downright hostile towards them. Which forced them to spend a lot of their time isolated on the island.
